Why do this now, at our age?
Because… It’s time. We’re not done yet, not even close. It’s time for us to stop some things, and it’s time for us to start some things. Let’s clear our cluttered GPS, clean the windshield, and quit glancing in the rearview mirror.
Some of us are living day to day with our accelerators mashed frantically to the floor, racing to all the wrong destinations, only to reach dead end after dead end. The rest of us have simply parked our cars, because our tanks are empty.
How did we become a generation of over-under women? We over eat, or we under eat. We over exercise, or we under exercise. We are either overly obsessed about our appearance or we under appreciate it. We overvalue images of women on our screens, while simultaneously undervaluing the one we see in the mirror. We overestimate the importance of other’s roles, yet completely disregard our own.
Why do we do this?
Because, my sister, at our glorious, experienced, soul centered core… we really aren’t starved for, or overstuffed with, food, fitness, fashion, or fame.
What we are desperately craving is…connection.
We are hardwired for it, our purpose lies within it, and our very lifeblood is dependent upon it.
We’ll get to know each other here, really know each other.
I’d love to help you turn your car around, or love to help get it started.
Let’s get you back to where you belong.
That’s why we’re here.
To help you find your way home, where you can begin to figure out the unique woman you were meant to be, and how to become her.
To a real home, where you are loved unconditionally.
A home where the very foundation was laid to prepare you for your best years yet.
A home where laughter and tears are freely shared.
A home where the scent of peonies perfume the air.
A home where your course is gently corrected and your gifts are celebrated.
A home where we exercise, eat kale salad, bake birthday cakes, and drink champagne.
A home where we dance to Motown and sway to Mozart.
A home where you always have a seat at the table.
A home with a den full of deep chairs, down sofas, glowing candles, and all the best books.
A home where the fire burns warm and bright.
A home with soaring windows for savoring sunrises and sunsets, and sharing the beauty of both.
A home with a permanent roof. You are sheltered by our Father, who is steadfast, strong and stable. Beneath His covering you are prepared for, and fiercely protected from, future lifestorms.
A home where your questions are welcome and your hurts are healed.
A home where you are hugged, you are held, you are pulled for, and you are prayed for.
Here’s your key.
Come on in.
Put your purse down, take your shoes off.
Exhale.
You’re home.
